Details: Administrator for Branches since February 2004. Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating operations of the eight branch libraries and two community center libraries. This includes overseeing budget allocations for staffing, materials, equipment and program resources. In addition to the branch managers, she also supervises the six full-time floating staff.
Coordinates adult programming including the Banned Books Week Event Committee, CNY Reads and the Senator DeFrancisco Library Grant Program.

Details: Prepares OCPL’s annual operating and capital budget requests and, with the Library Director, presents them to the Board of Trustees and the County Legislature; manages OCPL’s $13+ million departmental budget throughout the year, including monthly reports to the Board, quarterly budget forecasts for the County Executive’s office and remedial action if required; and prepares and presents resolutions to the County Legislature to accept grant funding and amend OCPL’s budget.
Supervises Business Office operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, contract management, procurement, stock room and mail room functions as well as preparing OCPL’s financials for the State annual report; oversees maintenance operations and construction projects for OCPL’s nine facilities; oversees delivery operations of library materials to the 31 libraries in the countywide library system.
Reports to the Board of Trustees, the County Executive’s office and the County Legislature; oversees the investment and disbursement of the Library’s endowment funds; prepares State construction grant and E-Rate applications on an ongoing basis; and prepares Requests for Proposals for a variety of goods and services, e.g., collection, architectural and mechanical engineering services, vendor contracts for library books and materials.
Serves on the County Executive’s Sustainability Advisory Committee and on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Community Center, and is active in Tomorrow’s Neighborhoods Today (TNT).

Details: Personnel Administrator for OCPL since 1999 overseeing all aspects of personnel administration for 240 full-time and part-time employees, she provides HR related consultation service to administrators, managers and employees; manages a six (6) million dollar payroll budget, oversees the payroll functions. Lately she assumed additional duties of overseeing OCPL security and incidents since June 2008.
She has been promoting a workforce diversification in reflecting the community it serves; she initiated the OCPL Diversity Committee in 2005 with a focus of increasing minority recruitment and promoting a welcoming work place for all; she is a seasoned diversity trainer for Onondaga County in the NCBI model (National Coalition Building Institute).

Details: Jane works in tandem with libraries throughout the Onondaga County Public Library System assisting with the implementation and staff training of the electronic ordering and fund maintenance systems used by Central, Branches, Satellites, and member libraries. Jane also participates in collection development by ordering titles based on the popularity of authors specific to each library and is a liaison between selectors, vendors, and the Business Office reconciling problems with orders and invoices.
With the Director of Administrative Services, Administrator for Branch Services,
and a Central Library Co-Manager, Jane assists with distributing the materials operating budget and oversees fund balances throughout the year.

Details: Doreen is the Central Library materials budget manager. She also serves as Outreach Coordinator, and oversees the “Tutor/Teacher-Library Connection” and “STARBurst” state grant projects, which extend adult literacy and service to persons with disabilities to other libraries in the County.
Doreen is the Chair of the OCPL Outreach Advisory Council. She is also a member of the Adult Literacy Workgroup, OCPL Automation Team, and the OCPL Marketing Committee.
Since May 2008 she has been acting System Liaison, working with suburban libraries on their State Construction Grant applications, annual State reports, and other system services. Doreen is also responsible for preparing both the OCPL Public Library and OCPL System Annual State Reports.
