Tabled from December 14, 2011 meeting:

Resolution: 11-31

              Resolved, That the OCPL Board of Trustees approves the expenditure of $550 from the Smith Hawley Fund for the 2012 Golden/Trustees’ Award ($400) and reception ($150).

 

Resolution: 11-33

              Resolved, That the OCPL Board of Trustees approves the transfer of funds of $6,000 from the Smith-Hawley Fund for the Director’s Discretionary Account.

 

Resolution: 11-34

              Resolved, That the OCPL Board of Trustees approves the expenditure of $250 from the Smith Hawley Fund for Retirement/Service Awards.

 

Resolution: 11-35

              Resolved, That the OCPL Board of Trustees approves the expenditure of $6,000 from the Smith Hawley Fund to support staff attendance at conferences and workshops.

 

Resolution: 11-36

              Resolved, That the OCPL Board of Trustees authorizes transfer of funds of $4,000 from the Smith Hawley Fund to the Executive Director’s Community Relations Account.

 

January Action Items:

Resolution: 12-01

              Resolved, That the OCPL Board of Trustees approves the expenditure of $750 from the Smith Hawley Fund to cover the expenses for refreshments and speakers for 2012 Staff Development Day.

 

Resolution: 12-02

              Resolved, That the OCPL Board of Trustees approves a fine amnesty in order to remove barriers to the use of OCPL Central and branch libraries for children and teens enrolled in the 2012 Summer Reading Program who read and report on five books will have their total accrued fines waived; and, be it further

              Resolved, That children and teens will incur no fines on items they return which have been declared lost, but charges for lost items that are not returned will not be affected by the amnesty; and, be it further

              Resolved, That staff will make the necessary accommodations to enable children and teens with fines on their cards to participate in the Summer Reading Program.

 

Resolution: 12-03

          Resolved, That the OCPL Board of Trustees approves the expenditure of $1,143 from the Smith Hawley fund for 2012 membership dues to the New York Alliance of Library Systems (NYALS) to provide enhanced collaborative advocacy for library systems at the State level.

 

Resolution: 12-04

               Resolved, That the OCPL Board of Trustees approves the submission of the 2012 Literacy Coalition of CNY grant application for $1,004 to purchase materials and supplies to enhance the White Branch Library’s children story time and conduct Literacy Training for parents.
