Meeting Room Guidelines - Curtin Auditorium


Curtin Auditorium Room Use


An extra guard from the library’s security guard contractor must be hired for the time of the event, or for a minimum of 4 hours. . The cost is $20.27/hour ($81.08 minimum). Checks are to be made out to G4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. and sent at least 2 weeks before the event to the Director’s Office. Government agencies may pay by purchase order on the day of the event.

Attendees may use the main entrance on the 2nd level of the Galleries. Take either of the first 2 elevators to level A. Please note: If a meeting takes place before 11:00 a guard will need escort the attendees.

Light Refreshments: If planning on having refreshments or letting attendees bring in their own beverages, they need to enter from the Auditorium entrance on Salina Street (next to the book drop). Individuals bringing in their own beverages must have lids on them.

When using the Auditorium entrance, a person from the group should arrive early through the main entrance and report to the Browse-About desk or Guard Station. After being admitted to the auditorium, the person can let the attendees in through the Salina Street door. For security reasons, please do not prop the door open and leave it unattended.

Security Detector: There is a detector between the elevators and the auditorium. It will sound if a patron walks through it with library materials. Let the patron know that they need to go back to the Browse-About  (level “L”) to have them checked out.

Occupancy limit is 135. The applicant/user is responsible for not exceeding this limit.

Restrooms are located between the elevators and the entrance to the Auditorium.

Before leaving: make sure the doors are secure; lights are off; and report that you are finished to the Browse-About information desk.
