Exhibit Spaces and Bulletin Boards Policy

OCPL offers exhibit, display, and bulletin board space to community organizations as part of its mission to reach out to the community it serves and to promote education, recreation, cultural enrichment, and lifelong learning, as well as to publicize library resources.
OCPL distributes brochures and other materials for those community organizations that promote education, recreation, cultural enrichment and lifelong learning. Distribution may be the physical delivery of brochures and other materials by the OCPL delivery service to the Central Library, city branches and suburban member libraries or distribution may be electronic.
Bulletin Boards
Bulletin board space not in use at the Central Library and city branches may be assigned to organizations engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, or charitable activities.
Posting of materials is by permission of the Executive Director or designee and is scheduled on a
temporary basis. Only library staff members post or remove materials.
Posting does not constitute endorsement by the library, staff, or Board of Trustees.
Displays and Exhibits
Art exhibits and other displays are chosen at the discretion of the Executive Director or designee
in keeping with the mission of the library. Displays and exhibits are temporary.
The Executive Director has the final decision on the acceptance and arrangement of all exhibits and displays.
OCPL accepts no responsibility for the protection, possible damage, or theft of any
item displayed, exhibited, or posted. All items placed on display in the libraries are at the
owner's risk. Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the owner of the articles or
materials displayed.
