24/7 Chat Reference

Chat Reference

Chat with a Librarian via 24/7 Reference
Chat Reference service allows you to ask reference questions and get answers in real time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by connecting with a librarian via live chat.

In order to provide 24/7 reference service, the Onondaga County Public Library subscribes to QuestionPoint, a global network of cooperating libraries.

When you connect, you will often be chatting with a librarian from outside the Onondaga County library system. Onondaga County reference librarians monitor the service a limited number of hours per week.

If you need an immediate answer to a question or have a question regarding your OCPL library card or hold requests made through the OCPL catalog, please use the e-mail reference or telephone reference services.

For assistance with your reference question:
click the "Chat with a Librarian" icon to begin your chat session.
