Catalog FAQs - How Do I Place a Hold or Request a Title?

Place a Hold

    • Click Place Hold to reserve the next available copy of a title.
      Note: Clicking Request this specific copy may delay your request.
      Your hold request will only be filled when this individual item becomes available.
  1. Enter your library barcode number and your PIN.open book clip art
  2. Click Log In.
  3. Select a library for pick-up from the Patron’s Library menu.
  4. Your request will be activated upon submittal unless you prefer to enter a future date.
  5. Click Submit Request.
  6. Click Return to Search Results.
  7. Please provide OCPL with your e-mail address so that you can be notified of hold information and overdue notices.
  8. Be sure to click Log Out at the top left of the screen to close out of your account.
