Make A Splash, Read

Summer Reading Program @ Mundy Branch Library

Children are invited to “Make A Splash, Read!” this summer.  Our program is designed for children who read independently as well as for children who have books read to them by parents or caregivers.

  • Open to preschoolers through students entering 6th grade.
  • Sign-up Spectacular kicks off the program on Thursday, June 24, at 2:30 p.m., with book reporting beginning on Monday, June 28.
  • Children are encouraged to read and report on one of their favorite books each time they visit the library.  Titles of books reported will be recorded on a reading page, maintained for the child at the library.  This service is available Monday through Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to one-half hour before closing time.
  • Attendance is optional for Summer Reading Program events, and some programs have limited seating.  Please see reverse side for complete details.
  • Children enrolled in the Summer Reading Program at any city library will have any fines on their library card waived after they read and report on five books.  This does not apply to lost items which are not yet returned.  Staff will make necessary accommodations to enable youth with fines on their cards to participate in the program.
