Memories
Will you remember
the days we laughed together
holding hands, smiling?
Will you remember
when I lost my first tooth and
tied my own shoes
for the first time?
Will you remember
when we drank coffee milkshakes
with chocolate syrup
we could taste the sticky sweetness
on hot days in
the summer?
Will you remember
when I broke my wrist
and got a
brand new pink cast
to show off for everyone
at daycare?
Will you remember
at night
when we stared into
each other’s eyes
silently learning
exploring the
worlds hidden inside?
Will you remember
how much I love you?
Will you remember?
