TeenWork - Autumn 2007

Naz (dats my name)

Naz, dats my name,
my life now isn't the same,
nobody feels my pain
some people think that I'm going insane,
I don't know what to do,
and it's all because of you,
my insecurities, my thoughts, my life,
it's all out of control,
my regrets, my fears, my frights,
I'm forced into this world where I clearly don't belong,
It seems that everything that could did go wrong,
my promises, my concerns, my hopes,
my points of view that made no impact,
will my mind ever react?
I'm a child surrounded by fornicators,
like a needle in a haystack,
my life is chaperoned by hate,
It seems that death is my faith,
I can't avoid this anymore,
Naz (dats my name)
And my life is divided by war,
blood vs. bold.

            - Nasrene Shehadeh, grade 9
