Summertime
Through summertime
The hot humid air,
Or the cool and crisp,
Sticks with you
Throughout the day.
While watching
The sun rise
And set
The colors of
A patchwork quilt.
But also as the
Cool sweet fruit
Of summertime
Is passed around
The table.
