TeenWork - Spring 2008

A Rose for My Rose

It’s raining outside
Spring must be here
Blue, yellow, pink, flowers
Blooming here and blooming there
People all over the garden
It looks wonderful they say
But there’s this one girl
She’s always looking so ashamed
Sometimes I stare at her
She always makes me wonder
People love spreadin’ rumors
And they’re always picking on her
I never told anybody
But I keep her in my heart
I really, really like her
And I think she’s really smart
It’s her birthday today
I got her a present she doesn’t know
I give her a special flower and a card
That says “A Rose for My Rose”
