Libraries subscribe to renowned investment research center

Did you miss your year-end portfolio checkup in December? Try one of Morningstar's monthly online training sessions to help you learn tools to evaluate your current portfolio and plan for future investments.

Training sessions on how to use Morningstar's Investment Research Center are held at noon on the first Thursday of each month.  The training is intended for home or office individual use. An e-mail address is needed to preregister.  Morningstar will send login information the day before the webinar.  To preregister, e-mail librarytraining@morningstar.com. The Robert P. Kinchen Central Library, city branches and Liverpool Public Library subscribe to Morningstar. Patrons of those libraries who want to use the Morningstar database after they view the webinar can log in from home.  All other library cardholders can use the database at one of the subscribing libraries.

To help individuals improve their investing skills, Morningstar also offers more than 100 short online courses on stocks, funds and portfolio building.

Morningstar database services are free to Onondaga County Public Library cardholders. For more information, please call Peg Elliott at the Robert P. Kinchen Central Library, 435-1900.
