Tax Information



Due to funding cuts at the IRS, beginning January 2015, the federal government will NOT be sending tax form instruction booklets or non-standard forms, and will be sending limited quantities of standard tax forms to all public libraries and other public tax form locations.

Library staff are prohibited by law from providing any assistance in filling out tax forms or determining which forms to file.

AARP Tax-Aide Sites

AARP's Tax-Aide is a program to provide income tax assistance to older and/or lower income persons. Enter your zip code to find the tax help location nearest you, or call the Central Library at 435-1900 for information on participating libraries and other locations in Onondaga County.

** NOTE **: Searching the AARP site will provide all community locations that offer tax assistance; the list is not limited to OCPL libraries.
