Interlibrary Loan - Answers

How much does it cost?

Onondaga County Public Library does not charge either its patrons or other libraries for this service. We make every attempt to find materials at libraries that do not charge. In some cases, however, materials are available only at libraries that charge. The patron may indicate on the ILL request form whether he or she is willing to pay any fees imposed by the lending library for the items requested and, if so, what would be the maximum dollar amount.

Responsibilities of Patrons

Patrons using the Interlibrary Loan service are responsible for the timely return of the items obtained for them as well as for any charges resulting from loss of or damage to the materials requested.
