WHAT: Read-A-Thon

The annual Banned Books Week Read-A-Thon will be once again held at the Central Library.

DATE: Wednesday, September 30, 2009

TIME: 9:00 AM through 5:30 PM

NOTES: Community leaders and library employees will read from their favorite banned or challenged book to celebrate the freedom to read in America.

Following the Read-A-Thon will be the Banned Books Week Reception with author Sonya Sones.

TIME: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

NOTES: Keynote speech, "Vulgarity, Filth and Me", by Sonya Sones 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM, followed by a book signing. For more information see the reception flyer. [PDF]
