ABOUT THE LIBRARY
Over 100 years of library service to
Syracuse's West Side is the continuing legacy of Hazard
Branch Library.
The historic multi-ethnic population of the neighborhood is reflected in a strong collection of Polish, Irish and Ukrainian books and media that attracts users from around the region.
About the West Genesee Street corridor are many small businesses and family residences. So, resource collections for parents and the independent business person are especially maintained.
The library boasts a large 68-person meeting room that is directly accessible from the parking lot during library hours.
At 1620 West Genesee Street, Hazard Branch is less than ten minutes driving time from downtown, Carousel Center and the exits of Interstate 81 and Interstate 690.
