ABOUT THE LIBRARY
Liverpool Public Library is an independent agency,
tax supported by the residents of the Liverpool Central
School District, with its own elected Board of Trustees.
The library is a cooperating member of the Onondaga
County Public Library System. The library has been
housed at its present location since 1975, but the
history of library services to the Liverpool community
dates back to 1822. The Friends of the Library group
supports public awareness, services and programs.
The library has a variety of circulating collections
including: multiple copies of best sellers, current
paperbacks, magazines, books on tape, DVDs,
compact discs, and computer software. Internet
access and software applications are available at computers in the adult and children's rooms. Programs
for children include story times and craft programs.
Adult programs include: After Dinner book discussion
group, Internet programs and the Armchair Traveler
film series. The library, including the restrooms,
is fully wheelchair accessible.
