Paddling in Central New York and the Adirondacks - A Pathfinder

Paddling in Central New York and the Adirondacks

A Pathfinder

by Barbara Giardina, librarian

Kayaks and canoes seem to be everywhere these days - strapped on top of cars, lying on shores, and spotted in local waterways. Kayaks and canoes are portable, light enough to carry to waterways, and relatively easy for beginners to use.

How to get started, and where to go to paddle, and who to turn to for guidance; that is the question.

Resources can be found at the Onondaga County Public Library, on the Internet, and with local paddling organizations.
