OCPL Participates in “Non-Food Drive” to Help Those in Need
in Our Community

SYRACUSE, NY — The Onondaga County Public Library is partnering with the Interreligious Food Consortium for a “Non-Food Drive.”  The Interreligious Food Consortium, (IFC) is a grassroots agency committed to ending hunger in our community.  IFC board members are looking for personal hygiene and sundry items for their clients.  Items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, soap, deodorant, etc. would be greatly appreciated.  From April 26 through May 10 barrels will be placed in libraries throughout Onondaga County.  Patrons can contribute these items when they visit their local library.

“A special thank you to the Onondaga County Public Library for conducting this special drive,” said Michele Jordan of the Interreligious Food Consortium.  “The personal hygiene items that are being donated will mean so much to the population that we serve.”

For more information on this project please contact Denise Headd, Public Information Specialist for the Onondaga County Public Library, at 435-1830.
