Join the Local History & Genealogy department in creating the Central Library Family Cookbook this summer! Participants who wish to take part should submit 1 to 2 favorite family recipes between June 9 and July 31, 2023 to https://forms.office.com/r/fnRBEMDQKk

Along with the recipe, you should include 2 to 3 sentences about who/where the recipe came from & why it's a favorite. Each family will receive a free copy (PDF or print) of the resulting cookbook in early September. (This will coincide with September being National Hunger Awareness Month.)

Our initial tie-in event is "Preserving Family Recipes & Building an Inclusive Family Tree" on Friday, June 9 from 10 to 11am, and our final tie-in event will be "Erie Eats: The Erie Canal Foodways Project" with Derrick Pratt from the Erie Canal Museum on Friday, September 8 from 10 to 11am. (Note: both events are hybrid, so feel free to join us online via Zoom or in person at Central Library.)
