Read to A Therapy Dog

Reading to a therapy dog is a fun and rewarding opportunity for school-age children to read one-on-one to a real, live and gentle dog. Children read aloud, one-on-one, to certified, trained dogs at the library with the dog’s handler present.

In partnership with White Branch Library, RISE (Refugee and Immigrant Self-Empowerment) invites students grades 6-12 to join Saturday Academy and receive tutoring and homework help. Other enrichment activities and snacks will be provided in a safe and supportive environment. Please check-in with RISE volunteers upon arrival.
