Week 3: Teens

July 20-25: Magic

Haiku Magic with Syracuse Poetry Project
Thursday, July 23
11:00 AM

Join Gloria Heffernan for a fun, interactive workshop where we will discover the magic behind the world’s shortest form of poetry, the haiku. We’ll learn the haiku poetry form and transform photographs into poetry with our own haiku.

Also, we’ll learn about Syracuse Poster Project which creates beautifully illustrated posters of haiku from local writers and posts them all around the city. We will look at sample posters and learn how to enter the contest for next year’s Poster Project!

To attend, please register and include your email to receive the event link in your registration confirmation.
