Week 5: Ages 0-5

August 3-8: Heroes

Event

Music with Donna Butterfield
Tuesday, August 4
10:00 AM

Come join Donna Butterfield for a virtual interactive musical reading experience! With music and movement we will be celebrating the many heroes in our world today, especially Moms and Dads. There are fun ways to create your own instrument to have ready for our concert time. You can fill plastic eggs or small storage containers with rice or popcorn and voila! You have your own shaker to play along with Donna's guitar for music and story time! You will also be meeting some very special puppet friends who will be joining us! Can’t wait to see you all onscreen to start the day the musical way!
** Supported by funds from the M&T Charitable Foundation. **

If you are interested in attending, please register and include your email to receive the event link in your registration confirmation.

I’m A Superhero
(Sung to the tune of I’m a Little Teapot)

I’m a superhero with my star
I help people near and far
If you have a problem, call on me
I will be there 1, 2, 3

Which Helper Am I?
These are cheers for our community helpers.
(From Helpers and Heros: Rhymes and Resources)

Fire! Fire!
9-1-1
I fight the blaze
Until it’s done.
Who am I? _____ [firefighter]

I get up early
Just to bake
Your cookies, rolls
And bread and cake.
Who am I? _____ [baker]

Stitches and itches,
Slips and falls,
Colds and flu,
I fix them all.
Who am I? _____ [nurse or doctor]

I’m there for you
Both night and day
When you cross the street.
Now look both ways!
Who am I? _____ [crossing guard]

I help you learn
Your ABCs
Don’t forget
Your 1 2 3s!
Who am I?           [teacher]

I make sure you
Have milk and bread
And fruit and veggies
So you stay fed.
Who am I?              [grocery clerk]
