Please Note:
  • We are currently unable to offer items owned at non-library pickup locations to a participating library pickup location.
In the meantime, we’d be happy to connect you to other materials that are currently available.
  • Please do not use library pickup areas to return items. Items must be returned in the library book drops only.
  • To prevent overwhelming the libraries with returns, we ask that you return your items on select days. If your birth day is an even day, return items on an even date, and if your birthday is an odd day, return items on an odd date.
  • To support social distancing efforts, libraries offering pickup are operating with very limited staff. Wait times for holds placed online are currently longer than usual. Thanks for your patience.

Step One: Place Your Items on Hold

[Already have an item on hold at a Library Takeout location and you’ve been notified it’s ready? Skip to step two.]

  • Use our website to search for items currently available at a pickup location, and place a hold on the items you want.
  • When placing your hold, remember to select a location with Library Takeout.
  • You will be notified via email or phone when your hold is ready. Wait times for holds placed online are currently longer than usual. Thanks for your patience.

Step Two: Wait for Notification, Then Tell Us When You Plan To Pick Up

  • After you receive notification, call your Library Takeout location and make an appointment to pick up your holds.
  • Have your library card number available when you call.
  • Staff will have your items checked out and placed in a new paper bag with your receipt.

Step Three: Pick Up Your Items

  • Masks are required for all library pickups.
  • Outdoor signage at the library will guide you through the process.
  • When you arrive at the library, please wait in line if necessary.
  • When you get up to the door, please show Library Staff your photo ID.
  • Staff will then pull your materials which will be in a new paper bag and leave it on a table for you to take and go.
Please Remember:
