6:00 p.m.  – 7:00 p.m.

Join us for a bi-monthly hour of performances and share your creativity with the MakerSpace community. At the open mic you can share your music, videos, poetry, dance, etc. Come to either watch or perform. We will provide a laptop, PA speakers and a projector. Ages 16 and up.

Introduction to Creo Parametric 3D CAD Software

Tuesday, January 8
2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Computer Aided Design (CAD) software is used by engineers and designers to create graphic models of their ideas. Users can design parts and then virtually assemble them into a product. In this workshop, you will be taught how to design in Creo Parametric 3D CAD software. Ethan Greene, a University at Buffalo Engineering major, will lead the workshop. You don't need to have any experience with CAD to participate, but you should be very comfortable using both Apple and PC computers. For Teens and Adults, MakerSpace, Level 1

Learn to play Dungeons & Dragons at the library. Volunteers from TCG Player will be on hand to host special "pick up" games that will introduce new players to the structure and design of D&D. For Teens and Adults, Community Room, Level 1.

Civil Rights Embroideries

Learn the basics of audio or video production in GarageBand and iMovie in this weekly walk-in training. During the 15-minute long training, MakerSpace staff will teach you the basics of starting your GarageBand, Logic Pro X, or iMovie project and will point you to additional training resources available through Lynda.com. For Teens and Adults, MakerSpace, Level 1

Join us on Wednesdays and print a small 3D object found on thingiverse.com! 3D prints will be handled on first come, first serve basis and will need to be picked up at a later point due to print time. For Teens and Adults, MakerSpace, Level 1

Audio Production with GarageBand and Logic Pro X Software

GarageBand and Logic Pro X are fully equipped music production software available on Macs in the MakerSpace studios. Software includes a complete sound library with instruments, presets for guitar and voice, and an incredible selection of session drummers and percussionists.

Video Production and iMovie Software

Learn what’s available in the MakerSpace’s video studio for all of your video production needs.  Additionally, we will introduce you to iMovie software useful for editing video clips, adding titles, themes, music and effects such as fades and slides.

OtherMill and OtherPlan Software

Interested in using the OtherMill CNC milling machine to mill your own circuit boards and other projects out of wood and metal? This training will provide you with the experience necessary to operate the machine safely and knowledgeably, as well as how to use the OtherPlan software. Ages 16 and up.

Cricut Explore Air and Design Space Software

Cricut is an electronic cutting machine for DIY projects and crafts. It allows you to make projects with over 100 different materials including paper, adhesive vinyl and fabric. In this training we will show you how to initiate your project in Design Space software and send the file to Cricut.

Sewing Basics with Brother CS-6000i

Interested in learning how to use the Brother CS-6000i sewing machine for a variety of fabric projects? This training will cover the basics of threading the machine, winding the bobbin, and using computerized settings to produce unique sewing patterns.

3D Printing

Schedule an appointment to 3D print a small object found on Thingiverse.com!

3D Printer Training

In this appointment based training you will learn how to use the 3D printer on your own. Once you finish the training, staff will instruct you on where to purchase 3D printing supplies.
