Planned Parenthood Office Hours

Thursday, March 14 and 28, 3:30 p.m.

Planned Parenthood educator Mallory will distribute brochures, fact sheets and give-a-ways, answer questions and talk to teens one-on-one about family planning, sexual health, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS, minors' rights and much more. All materials include information about where to access low-cost reproductive health care. If appropriate, referrals will be made to partner agencies for additional service needs. Rock Mandala Painting

Join us in the MakerSpace for the decorative art of rock painting led by Pauline Shostack, Library Department Chair at OCC. We will provide you with all the supplies necessary to paint colorful designs that will brighten your surroundings. Bring your own stones, or use the ones we provide for you (while supplies last). 3D Design Unique Dungeons & Dragons Characters

Create your own Dungeons & Dragons character from scratch with Desktop Hero web-based software. Completed figurines will be printed on MakerSpace’s Ultimaker 2+ 3D printers. Learn how to play D&D on March 8, join the advanced campaign on March 27, or paint your figurines during Open Art Studio on Fridays.  For Teens and Adults, MakerSpace, Level 1


Dungeons & Dragons Campaign

Are you a knowledgeable Dungeons & Dragons player? Or have you been to our introductory games and want to get to the next level? Join us for a monthly D&D program and build a lengthy campaign with the help of volunteers from TCG Player. For Teens and Adults, MakerSpace, Level 1


GarageBand, Logic Pro X and iMovie Basics

Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Learn the basics of audio or video production in GarageBand, Logic Pro X or iMovie in this weekly, 15-minute long walk-in training. During the training, MakerSpace staff will teach you the basics of starting your project and will point you to additional training resources available through Lynda.com. For Teens and Adults, MakerSpace, Level 1


3D Printing
Wednesdays, 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Join us on Wednesdays and print a small 3D object found on thingiverse.com! 3D prints will be handled on first come, first serve basis and will need to be picked up at a later point due to print time. For Teens and Adults, MakerSpace, Level 1

Math Tutoring
Thursdays, 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Join MakerSpace volunteer Bill and brush up on your math skills. Please bring in questions or examples of the type of math problems that you need help with. For Teens and Adults, MakerSpace, Level 1

Logic Pro X with Khalid
Fridays, 11:00 p.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Learn the basics of audio production in Logic Pro X in this weekly class. During the training, MakerSpace volunteer will teach you the basics of starting your project in Logic Pro X and will point you to additional training available through Lynda.com. For Teens and Adults, MakerSpace, Level 1

Open Art Studio
Fridays, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Stop by the MakerSpace every Friday and use a variety of art supplies to create artwork of your own choosing. No registration necessary. For Teens and Adults, MakerSpace, Level 1

Knitting with Anne!
Fridays, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

These classes are for both beginner and intermediate knitters! Yarn and needles are available, but feel free to bring your own. All ages welcome. No registration necessary. For Teens and Adults, Magazine Café, Level 1

Audio Production with GarageBand and Logic Pro X Software

GarageBand and Logic Pro X are fully equipped music production software available on Macs in the MakerSpace studios. Software includes a complete sound library with instruments, presets for guitar and voice, and an incredible selection of session drummers and percussionists.

Video Production and iMovie Software

Learn what’s available in the MakerSpace’s video studio for all of your video production needs.  Additionally, we will introduce you to iMovie software useful for editing video clips, adding titles, themes, music and effects such as fades and slides.

OtherMill and OtherPlan Software

Interested in using the OtherMill CNC milling machine to mill your own circuit boards and other projects out of wood and metal? This training will provide you with the experience necessary to operate the machine safely and knowledgeably, as well as how to use the OtherPlan software. Ages 16 and up.

Cricut Explore Air and Design Space Software

Cricut is an electronic cutting machine for DIY projects and crafts. It allows you to make projects with over 100 different materials including paper, adhesive vinyl and fabric. In this training we will show you how to initiate your project in Design Space software and send the file to Cricut.

Sewing Basics with Brother CS-6000i

Interested in learning how to use the Brother CS-6000i sewing machine for a variety of fabric projects? This training will cover the basics of threading the machine, winding the bobbin, and using computerized settings to produce unique sewing patterns.

3D Printing

Schedule an appointment to 3D print a small object found on Thingiverse.com!

3D Printer Training

In this appointment based training you will learn how to use the 3D printer on your own. Once you finish the training, staff will instruct you on where to purchase 3D printing supplies.

3D Modeling

Add 3D modeling to your skill set by learning the concepts behind CAD (Computer Aided Design). Participants will gain experience with design essentials necessary to create 3D objects.

Beginner Loom Knitting

Learn how to use a loom for a variety of easy knitting projects. In this training we will show you how to get started with a knit hat project.
