The archives of the Onondaga County
Civil War Roundtable, from its inception in 1994 through the year 2014. The
collection includes by-laws, program and project information, membership information
and the newsletter of the organization.
Organizational History
The Onondaga County Civil War Roundtable, OCCWRT, was organized in 1994. The OCCWRT
is a non profit, incorporated organization which meets monthly from Sep. to June of
each year. The mission of the OCCWRT is to stimulate and encourage interest in the
American Civil War. It provides a forum for discussion of civil war topics, as well
as host programs of an educational and informative nature on the America Civil War.
It also, by member participation, strives to assist in community service to enhance
the study and understanding of the war, and provides educational and historical
research and preservation whenever possible.
Scope and Contents of the Collection
This collection consists of the OCCWRT by-laws and constitution, project and program
information, membership information, financial records, meeting information, and the
OCCWRT newsletter, "The Battlefront".
Arrangement of the Collection
The information in this collection is arranged in folders, the arrangement and labeling of the
folders is the same as was used by the donor, Darothy Deangelos.
