This collection consists of pamphlets centered around the issues of women's rights, written between 1850 and 1914. It contains 17 issues of the Proceedings of the Annual Conventions of the National American Woman Suffrage Association. This association was formed in 1890 when the National Woman Suffrage Association and the American Woman Suffrage Association become one. The first Women's Rights Convention was held July 19-20, 1848 in Seneca Falls, N.Y. The collection also comprises annual reports and papers from the Association for the Advancement of Women. This association was formed in New York City at the Union League Theater, October 15-17, 1873. The Second Congress was held on Oct. 13-15, 1875 in Syracuse, N.Y. (headed by Mrs. Bagg). Additionally, the collection contains Women's Rights Tracts, which include writings encouraging women's education and promoting "woman's larger sphere of action." Lastly this collection includes miscellaneous woman's suffrage pamphlets.
