Full-Time Positions
Most of our full-time positions are subject to the civil service examination process that is administered by the Onondaga County Personnel Department.

Librarian 1 examination (Training and Experience Questionnaires) is part of the continuous recruitment program. Applications will be accepted at least twice a year, around January and June. You can register to receive the exam announcement by clicking ““Register for Exam Announcements” at http://www.ongov.net/employment/jobs/. For specific questions regarding the exam, contact Onondaga County Personnel Department at 435-3537 or OCPL Personnel at 435-1805.

Part-Time Positions (Continuous Recruitment)
We accept applications and/or resumes on an ongoing basis and keep them for six (6) months for any upcoming vacancies. These positions are not subject to the competitive civil service process. Due to the volume of resumes we receive, we would not be able to answer your inquiry on the status of your application.
