Central Library Preservation Lab
The Preservation Lab is located on the third floor of Central, in our Microfilm Room. Please ask at the third floor information desk for access to the Preservation Lab.
What Can I Do in the Lab?
- Convert VHS to DVD or MP3 formats
- We have 2 Phillips VHS + DVD players, each with a Diamond Multimedia One Touch Video Capture device for converting videos to digital formats. Bring your own DVDs or thumb drives to save your work, or upload the converted videos to your Cloud account.
- Scan and save photos
- Using our Epson Fast Foto Scanner, you can slide your printed photos through the machine and instantly save copies to your thumb drive or upload them to your Cloud account.
- With our flatbed Epson V600 Scanner, you can scan larger photos, groups of photos, or negatives and slides and save the images to your thumb drive or upload them to your Cloud account.
- Use the Photo Studio software if you need to make more advanced edits to your scanned photos.
