Located approximately one-and-a-half miles from the downtown area, Beauchamp Branch has served the Southside community since it first opened in 1929. Viewed as the hub of the Southside community by many, Beauchamp is the home of several community wide, annual programs, including Beauchamp’s Black History Month Celebration. A large auditorium, with a stage, and several smaller meeting rooms are available for use by community groups and organizations; advance booking is required.

The library offers a wide range of materials including books, audiobooks, magazines, DVDs, Blu-Rays and compact discs. Resources are available to help with online job applications, creating resumes and preparing for school. Public computers, Wi-Fi, printing, scanning and faxing are all available at Beauchamp.   One-on-one computer training can be arranged and is available by appointment.

Children’s programs are a regular feature at the library.  Storytimes, summer reading programs, crafts, beginning robotics, and the AWE National award winning Cooking Up Literacy, are some of the programs offered on a regular basis.  Please check the event calendar for a complete listing. Beauchamp recently added a play-and-learn area that supports the development of language and literacy skills where children and their families can play together.

We invite you to stop by and visit the library!
