Liverpool Public Library - Halloween Costume Closet Collection

Liverpool Library will be accepting gently used, clean costumes of any size, from Oct. 1 - Oct. 15 at the Information Desk. 

Costumes will be added to their Costume Closet, available from Saturday, Oct. 21 until Saturday, Oct. 28.

NOPL Cicero - Halloween Horror Nights..on the Lawn

Enjoy classic horror movie showings in North Syracuse. 

Screenings begin promptly at 7 p.m. on the lawn (weather-permitting).

Admission is free, so come early to secure your spot to see the following Halloween movies: 

  • Oct. 13 - "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1992 | PG-13)
  • Oct. 16 - "Frankenstein" (1931 | NR)
  • Oct. 30 - "The Mummy" (1932 | NR)

Community Library of DeWitt & Jamesville - Pumpkin Carving 

Get in the Halloween spirit and carve jack-o'-lanterns!

A pumpkin and carving supplies will be provided for each child registered.

The program will take place outside on the front patio of the library and will be rescheduled in the case of inclement weather. 

For children of all ages with adult supervision.

It's Halloween / Solar Eclipse party-time! 

Get your solar eclipse glasses at NOPL North Syracuse!

The library has a limited amount, so only one pair of glasses per family.

Enjoy half-moon cookies, spooky Halloween crafts, and out-of-this-world space crafts!

Soule Branch - Tween/Teen Frankentoys Crafting 

Just in time for Halloween and the Five Nights at Freddy’s premiere, tweens and teens can make their own creepy frankentoy!

Soule supplies the dismembered stuffed animals; participants hone their sewing skills by mixing and matching body parts.

Before the crafting starts, you’ll play some Minute to Win It games with some special FNAF prizes.

The trend involves painting ghosts onto thrifted artwork.

Pick out a gently used or new costume from Bett’s Halloween Costume Closet, beginning on Saturday, October 21, from 2 p.m. –5 p.m., in their small community room.

No registration required.  

Leftover costumes will still be available after the 21st.

Fairmount Community Library– Halloween Celebration at St. Camillus

Join FCL for a Halloween-themed parade and celebration for the littlest readers. 

Sing a few songs and trick or treat around stations for non-candy treats. 

Please meet inside at the main entrance.

Children can wear costumes and bring a basket or goody bag for their treats.

Recommended for ages 18 months to 4 years old (siblings are welcome).

Salina Library – Mattydale Community Halloween Decorating Contest 

Sign up at Salina Library to enter the Mattydale Community Halloween Decorating Contest, brought to you by the Mattydale Volunteers.

On the 27th, have your lights on by 5:30 p.m.; judges will come around by 8:30 p.m. You could win a prize! Categories and prizes vary.

Winners will be announced on Monday, 10/30.

For residents of the Mattydale/Hinsdale area. Must be 18 to enter.

The Westcott Neighborhood Association 2nd Annual Halloween Dog Parade!

Meet at the Petit parking lot and join the ½ mile procession around the neighborhood.

After the parade, return to the library for treats – for dogs and humans.

Join Miss Patience at Shove Park pavillion for STEM experiments and hands-on science fun for registered homeschool children ages 5-12.

In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved to Camillus Town Hall gymnasium and registrants will be notified via email one day prior.
